Background

I have been designing and building high-quality software for many years. See my portfolio page for examples of recent website work.

From a young age, I was attracted to computers and fascinated by the software that makes them work. I studied computer science at Brown University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1991. I've worked in the software industry since then, developing applications for a variety of firms. Starting with Electronic Book Technologies - we created a browser for large documents which predated the rise of the world wide web - where my role was senior software developer. And more recently with webMethods - a major B2B e-commerce player - where I served as architect and consultant.

Over the years I've learned how to develop software successfully. I bring this discipline to every project I take on today. The websites I build are not merely on-line brochures. They are hosted software applications. They require specification, development, testing and updating, just like all the software your business relies on.
